What to expect in this communal journey
Life is a spiritual journey with the quest of becoming who we really are, no matter our belief system. We do this by living in the ways of love; the open and affirming ways of the Spirit that Jesus taught and lived. This path leads us to become our own unique form of that love - the particular blessing we are meant to be! Here at Church of the Good Shepherd, we offer you this path:
Open Your Heart to Song Through music, dance, drama and the spoken word, enjoy a weekly celebration of our life in the Spirit. It's called Worship and it's inspiring, affirming, and joyful and happens here every Sunday at 10:30am.
Share Yourself Safely with Others Love is about healthy relationships in a supportive, safe community and the Church of the Good Shepherd strives to be that kind of community. There is always something interesting going on - social groups, outings, concerts, interpretive dance, discussion groups, gardening, and more. Grow new friendships and take your place in the circle of love.
Give Yourself in Love & Wisdom Love is also about giving and learning to give in healthy ways to uplift yourself and others. We have partnerships with non-profit organizations within our community who look to our support in their endeavour to meet the needs of so many, and we have our own projects to help support collective health and justice. From providing assistance to Syrian refugees who are beginning anew to our annual fundraisers for shelters such as Marillac Place (a shelter for homeless mothers), Mary's Place (YWCA emergency women's shelter) and The Soup Kitchen, our hope is to give to our community with these acts of kindness to bring hope to every heart, including our own.
