A Sacred Space for Your Perfect Wedding

At the Church of the Good Shepherd, we will do all we can to make your wedding day joyous and beautiful.

By working closely with you and listening carefully to your needs, we can ensure that the service will be uniquely your own. Whether you are looking at a ceremony for 6 or 60 or 160 (or more), the Church of the Good Shepherd, known in Kitchener-Waterloo simply as "that beautiful church" ‚ offers you a venue that is both inspiring and lovely. Moreover, the Church of the Good Shepherd is an affirming and inclusive faith community. No one is turned away for reasons of religion (or lack thereof) or sexual orientation. Every person is a child of God and is welcome here.

Of course, you probably have questions to ask‚ perhaps a lot of questions! We'll try to answer them in a relaxed and friendly way. We want you to feel comfortable and in control of your special day!

Arrangements can also be made for our one-hour marriage prep session‚ one of the most popular features of the service we offer. The emphasis is on communication and the experience is lively and fun.

At the Church of the Good Shepherd we will do all that we can to make your day joyous and beautiful.

Here are some of the details:

• Your input to the ceremony makes for a service that's uniquely your own. Some enjoy the grandeur of a traditional setting. Others find the intimacy of a smaller space is more their style. We'll do our best to accommodate everyone. We have a standard service you can use that is very well received.
• Wedding times are noon, 2pm, 4pm, & 6pm.
  
• The ceremony is approx 1/2 hour in length.
• Wedding couples should consult with the organist on their music selections. Soloists are most welcome.
• The church seats 150 on the main floor with more room in the balcony. A total of 200 people can be accommodated. The sanctuary is fully wheelchair accessible. Ample parking is available in our own lot.
• The building is a stunning place for pictures.
  Inside, the warm light and dramatic woodwork make for a tranquil atmosphere.
  Outside, the brickwork and gardens provide a beautiful backdrop.
• The wedding fee is $800 which includes the minister's fee, organist, wedding co-ordinator & rehearsal, (and even pew bows & silk flowers if desired).
• Special arrangements can be made for small weddings.

Gather your ideas for the perfect ceremony and bring them to your meeting with the minister. We'll try our best to answer all your questions and make you feel comfortable. At your convenience, arrangements will be made during this meeting for a one hour marriage prep session. The emphasis is on communication - something beyond instant messaging at the grocery store!
